Yi is a New York City–based cinematographer working across music videos, narratives, and commercials. His work has received international recognition through screenings at film festivals including the Rhode Island International Film Festival, Woodstock Film Festival, Cinema de Demain at the Festival de Cannes, and the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen.

In addition to his work as a cinematographer, Yi works as a gaffer and key grip across narrative and commercial productions. His commercial work includes collaborations with prominent creators and global entertainment companies. As a key grip, he specializes in vehicle-based rigging and has worked across North America on a wide range of narrative and commercial projects.
